Certifications
Full Cave Diver -
Becoming a scuba diver was not something I would have ever
thought to try when I was in my teens, thinking about the life ahead of me. I first went diving
in St Croix, with Dive Experience. To say the least, the
experience was awe-inspiring. That following summer I got certified
in Ireland, where I was living at the time. When I first saw underwater caves during a cenote dive
at Dos Ojos (near Tulum, Mexico) I was instantly in
speleological love! I got my NSS-CDS "Intro to Cave" certification relatively early in my diving career.
Two years later I completed the training with NSS-CDS "Full Cave" certification.
Private Pilot's License - I completed this certification while at university in
Blacksburg, Virginia. Although I haven't done much general aviation flying, I did spend quite
a few hours in ultralights and experimental aircraft. I have been to (and flown at) the Sun 'n Fun
airshow in Lakeland, Florida three times.
Irish/European Driver's License - obtained whilst in Ireland. It helped cut down auto insurance rates
while I lived there. And driving on the left side of the road is fun!
Harp Twins - If you like Apocalyptica you'll probably appreciate the works of this twin/duo too
...and if you thought that was impressive, check this out: Harp Twins - Metallica cover and see how they integrate percussion in the performance!
