I have a EE/CpE degree from the Bradley School of Engineering, Virginia Tech. My focus of study
was on microcontrollers and microcomputer design. After graduation I worked for two companies
in this field. The first was a manufacturer of power electronics and power conversion products.
The second made precision measurement instruments for health & fitness, for hand-held
and kiosk form factors. Many of their products still use software I wrote and PC boards that I designed.
My experiences/responsibilities include:
Early stage engineering, component identification, proof-of-concept modelling
System & Functional Specifications (documentation)
Design & Prototyping of Schematics
Schematic Capture, PC Board Layout
PC Board assembly (both through-hole and surface mount)
